At Burccos Pty Ltd, Diamonds are more than our craft, they are our legacy.

It roots back to Mmabatho (Mokoena wa'Sesha) Mehlomakhulu "Sotho name meaning Mother of Nations”, born on 8 August 1928 in Lesotho from the Bakoena ba'Sesha and Batsoeneng ba'Kgiba clans. A natural judge of stones, she carried her family’s diamond wisdom to South Africa in the late 1940's, trading with an artisans discernment. There she met Ernest Mehlomakhulu, and their daughter Thokozile Mehlomakhulu was born - rooting the next generation in South Africa’s diamond heartbeat.

In 2014, Thokozile and her son Isaac Mapheto- the family’s first formally certified diamond expert- founded Burccos, working side by side, blending ancestral knowledge with modern precision to build Burccos into a trusted name. For over a decade, we’ve honed our expertise in diamond manufacturing, serving clients who value, precision, ethics and traceability.

Today, Isaac and his son Sheriff Mapheto lead the company. Together they honor three generations of mastery from the Bahlakwana tribe, ensuring every stone we cut and every jewel we create carries the weight of their story.
